Josh Kalis Noseblunt Slide, Love Park. 2004

Josh Kalis heard Philly planned on making Love Park not skateable shortly before we shot this photo in 2004. He brought the barrier from his house on his skateboard. It started to drizzle right when we got there, but he rolled away before the rain came. I was more anxious to see the film than most photos I shot there. I knew it would be one of the last ones after spending a few summers there shooting Josh and Stevie since 1999. It is still one of my favorite images there. It book ends a great era in skateboarding.
